For couples who wish to have a slightly less extravagant wedding day or are on a stricter budget or just simply prefer a rustic barn venue we are now offering a new style of wedding which we call ‘Twilight’ Weddings. With our Twilight weddings, you get married later in the day and go straight into an evening party. The timing of these is such that sit down meals, formal speeches, table layouts etc are not required and thus removes any headache these could potentially bring to the wedding couple.  Please see further details on Twilight weddings within our Apple Barn in our Wedding Brochure.

4.30pmGroom to arrive at The BarnYard (with best man), closely followed by all the guests and be welcomed into the bar area of The Roost. The bar will be open for the purchase of drinks before the wedding ceremony
5.15pmGuests asked to take their seats in the chosen ceremony area
5.15pmBride / Bridal party to arrive at The BarnYard (unless already on site in the Dressing Room)
5.30pmYour ‘Twilight’ Wedding Ceremony will take place
6.00pmDrinks reception & canapés (if required) in the bar area or outside (bar to be re-opened). Our staff will then, behind the scenes, arrange the venue into ‘party’ mode where any ceremony chairs will be removed to make room for dancing & the DJ (or your chosen band) can set up. Photographs to be taken. Free time to mingle with your guests / enjoy the venue

The BarnYard Bowl Food

Small but perfectly formed, bowl food dishes are a perfect middle way between canapés and a full formal dinner. A brilliant alternative to finger and fork buffets, bowl food is served in small bowls and designed to be eaten standing up while you mingle with your guests. Prices start from £33.00 per head.

Luxury Waitress Served Cold Fork Buffet

Why not treat your guests to a sumptuous luxury cold fork buffet consisting of foods such as dressed whole Scottish Salmon garnished with King Prawns and Lobster to beautifully carved, medium cooked Sirloin of Beef. A great alternative to a formal sit down meal. Prices start from £36.00 per head.

Waitress served Reception Drink – from £7 per head

Why not consider adding pre-purchased waitress served reception drinks (Champagne, Prosecco, Bucks Fizz, Pimms, Cocktails etc) to be served immediately after your wedding ceremony.

Reception Drink / 3 x Canapés per person - £16 per head

As well as a pre-purchased reception drink, and to be served at the same time, we also offer 3 canapés per person, chosen and created by the chef on the day, as a little appetiser before the main serving of food later. If you wanted a larger choice of canapes per person you can add these at £3 per canape per person.  Please ask for further details. 

Pancake and Waffle Station - £8.95 per head

Luxury 3 or 4 tier Cheese Tower - POA

Why not add a luxury Cheese ‘Tower’ to any of the above menu options. This makes a great alternative to the traditional wedding cake and looks superb – beautifully decorated.  Ask a member of our events team for further details and costings.  

Dessert Table - £8.95 per head

A selection of classic desserts – we can even include your all-time favourite!

Cookie Station - £6.95 per head

You and your guests can help yourselves to warm freshly baked cookies – variety of flavours

Cheeseboard - £6.95 per head

A selection of popular cheeses with chutney, apple, grapes and savoury biscuits – served on a board.

The following options are available but will depend on various factors. So please ask a member of our events team for further details on this.

Mediterranean Grazing Board - £29 per head

Selection of Mediterranean Cold Meats, Pigs in Blankets, BarnYard Sausage Plait, Fruit, Mixed Olives, Crudité with Caramelised Onion Hummus and Dip, English Cheeses, Chutneys, Pickled Onions, Flatbreads and Baguettes.  Served on a large board(s) for you and your guests to help themselves to.  (Note – only available for smaller seated parties i.e. not buffet style).

Traditional Hog Roast - £40 per head

(Regardless of amount of wedding guests invited, a minimum of 80 guests will need to be charged for)

Traditional pulled Hog with Crackling (visible in the BBQ area to you and your guests unless very cold weather when the actual hog will not be visible as will need to be cooked inside our kitchen area).  Served with apple sauce, various condiments, baps, garden salad and coleslaw.

BarnYard Finger Buffet - £29 per head

Our Chefs can prepare for you and your guests a cold finger buffet – ask a member of our events team if interested in this option.

All prices quoted are per head & include VAT at the prevailing rate, waitressing staff, white napkins, crockery & cutlery. Tablecloths charged extra if required.

The above menu options and prices are currently for functions in 2024. However, we reserve the right to increase this price during the year due to the current rising cost of living. For bookings made for future years this price may be subject to inflationary price increase and will be available in the January of the year in which you are having your function.
