Current Update on Covid-19

Covid-19 – Update – Monday 18th May

An update for all of our customers – we remain closed as a venue, in line with Government instruction, until we are told we can re-open.  We are hoping this will be early July but more information will be published as soon as we know more.

We still have access to emails / phone calls going forward so are able to answer any of your questions / concerns. Please bear with us during this time – we will get back to any message you leave as soon as we can.

With regard to wedding bookings, we have now been in contact with all of our wedding couples up until July to see what they wish to do.

For August weddings onwards we won’t assess this until we know more about how easing of lockdown will affect our future weddings as at the moment no-one knows how as a wedding industry we will come out of lock-down. We are hopeful that weddings from mid summer onwards will be able to go ahead as planned (albeit maybe with a few alterations).  However we don’t have access to information any quicker than the general public – so we don’t know any more than you.

We will do everything in our power to carry on and fulfil our couples dream wedding day – following all of the government’s cleaning / sanitising recommendations.  If the Government put restrictions on gatherings, outdoor venues INCLUDING well ventilated marquees are considered to be safer than indoor venues.  We have a beautiful permanent vast marquee structure with bi-folding windows all along one length which can be thrown open to allow free circulation of fresh air.  And we are literally surrounded by beautiful orchards, meadows and woodland which means guests can easily spread out.

Please do stay safe and healthy by following all of the government guidelines with regard to washing of hands and social distancing. We need to make sure we can all pull through this and get back to life as we know it as soon as possible. We are looking forward to eventually re-opening and seeing all of your lovely faces again.
